Timiș River, Pancevo, Serbia

Timiș river - the largest river inside the Banat - will become by the end of 2018 a new tourism product.

Throughout the period, guests will enjoy the next few years of leisure activities and leisure tools offered through the project Eco Timiș - a new tourism product, RORS-39. The project started in June 2017 and is implemented by four partners: Center for voluntary movement nature protection Pancevo (Serbia), Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry Pancevo (Serbia), Association for the Promotion and Development of Tourism in Timiș (Timișoara) and Miltonia Association (Timișoara).

A general survey and maps made in the project will provide tourists with bike trails that follow natural paths that cross the forests near Timișoara and the hills and mountains of Timiș and Caraș-Severin; canoe rides, fishing and beaches places equipped with tables, benches and shade throughout the Timiș river, at fixed locations along with fishing associations and local government units in the county; birdwatching in Reservation Satchinez and Forest Macedonia in Timiș County.

Timis Eco Project provides purchase of bicycles and canoes for tourism and a catamaran that will give visitors the opportunity to discover the beauty of nature in Timis.
