The EuroVelo 13 cyclist route retraces the ‘Iron Curtain’ trail, a border stretching from the Barents Sea to the Black Sea.
As the longest EuroVelo route, 10,400 km, the Iron Curtain Trail has something to offer every type of cycle tourist, from the vineyards in southern Czechia and northern Austria to the mountainous border of Bulgaria and Greece.
The route passes through 20 different countries, including Romania, the Banat Region.
It traverses many national parks with interesting flora and fauna and connects numerous unique landscapes as well as buildings, monuments and museums.
It enters Timis County through the city of Jimbolia and passes by the villages of Cărpiniș, Cenei, Uivar, Otelec, Foeni, Banloc, Deta, Denta and Moravița.
